Le Montagnard Residences

Edmundston, NB
August 2010

The "Auberge Le Montagnard" was designed to comply with a number of energy and environmental performances. Some interesting features are shown in the integration of split levels to accommodate the slope of the land in order to have minimal impact on the environment. South facing windows were specifically located to reduce energy demand and to integrate day lighting to reduce the need for electrical lighting. The facility houses sixty (60) one bedroom units for healthy and active mature adults. It accommodates a hair salon, a pharmacy, and a large common dining room and living room.
